Episode: 1
Duration:
62 minutes
Episode Plot:
On the north side of the Wall, which protects the Seven Kingdoms from the Wildlings, there is an irregular mobility. Men of the Night Guard, who are sent to investigate, are massacred by the White Walkers (the Others)… creatures with bright blue eyes who look like humans. The sole survivor of the Night Guard group goes south of the Wall and is sentenced to death as a deserter because he left his place and his duty. Ned Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Lord Paramount of the North, does the execution himself in front of his young son, Bran Stark. The prevailing view is that small children should be trained to weapons and come face to face with the harsh aspects of life.
In the capital of the seven kingdoms, King Robert’s Hand is assassinated. The Hand of the King is the man that is closer to the King and higher up the chain of command. Robert Baratheon decides then to travel to Winterfell and propose to his old friend Ned to be the new Hand. During the King’s and his entourage stay at Winterfell, Bran climbs – as he used to do – the outer wall of a tower and from a window, he sees something that he should never have seen…
At the same time, in the city of Pentos, across the Narrow Sea, are the last alive descendands of the previous King, Daenerys and her brother Viserys. The young man hopes to sit in the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms, therefore he arranges the marriage of his sister with the obstinate war chief, in command of thousands mounted warriors, named Khal Drogo…
