Plot:
Forrest Gump was born in a small town of Alabama. Father unknown. The only one who stood for young Forrest Gump was his mother. Without having any other option, she turned her big house into a pansion, and rented rooms – for short or long-term – to people passing by the area. Forrest was a child with special needs, so he faced problems with bullies at school. Fortunately Jenny, his only friend, was always there for him and she softened the harshness that he faced from the rest kids. Years began to pass and our hero lived a special life. He met important people, lived extraordinary experiences, went to places and lived situations that other people would need to live several lifetimes to do so. His friendship with Jenny evolved into a one-sided love, for a great many years, and ultimately into a strong relationship, but unfortunately that happened towards the end of her turbulent life. And their best creation? Of course Forrest Junior, a brilliant and sweet little kid, who now would grow up with just his father…
Our impressions and movie review:
The shocking film “Forrest Gump” is based on the novel by Winston Groom, published in 1986. This is one of the best films of all time and it has left its own unique footprints in the movie scene. It is no coincidence at all that “Forrest Gump” won six Oscars (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Editing, Visual Effects, Best Adapted Screenplay). The story is ground shaking with pleasant, unpleasant and above all intense moments. The actors gave their best self and I believe they were excited by this remarkable production. “Forrest Gump” does not need my recommendations… this is one of the most famous movies. I am pretty sure you have already seen it, and I urge you to see this movie again. We must have seen this 3-4 times and each time it has something new to give us, teach us… This is unique! 😀
