Meatballs mit rice (Giouvarlakia soupa)

1/2 kg minced beef
1/2 kg minced pork
1/3 cup of white rice
2 chopped onions
1 egg
1 bunch of finely chopped parsley
Salt, pepper, 1/2 cup olive oil
2 chopped tomatoes
2 chopped carrots
1 cup flour

Mix the following ingredients in a bowl and form to small meat-balls: minced meats, onions, rice, egg, parsley, salt, pepper. Afterwards roll them in the flour. Half – fill a saucepan with water add the olive oil, carrots, tomatoes, little salt and pepper. Boil for about 10 minutes. Subsequent add the meat balls and leave cooking about 30 minutes.
