    Octopus casserole with wine and onions

    1 kg octopus frozen
    2 onions
    1 cup white wine
    Olive oil
    Salt and pepper

    We wash and clean the octopus. We cut the onions in square pieces and we put them in a casserole with a little olive oil. We add the octopus, salt, pepper, and a half of wine. We cover the casserole and cook for about 1 hour over medium heat. After that we put the rest wine and we cook for about 5 minutes. Before serving our octopus, we cut it in medium pieces. This is a very tasty dish, warm or cool. The best companion for octopus is the Greek drink “Ouzo”.
